Nestled in the wooded hills of central Connecticut, Farmington Woods is carefully integrated into the varied terrain with extensive recreational amenities and centered around an 18-hole Championship golf course.

Set in the wooded hills of central Connecticut, with an 18-hole golf course as the common open space, Farmington Woods is a multi-family condominium community. The approximately 375-acre site was developed over many years and includes over 1,000 units. Richter & Cegan provided master planning, site planning, and construction administration services throughout a 17-year period.

Besides the unit locations and road system, Richter & Cegan was involved in the recreational program for the project. In addition to the Desmond Muirhead-designed golf course, the recreational amenities include a clubhouse, swimming pools, and tennis courts. Because of the varied topography of the site, extensive consideration was given to fitting the units into the slopes while saving existing blocks of vegetation.
