SUSTAINABLE DESIGN
Sandy Hook Elementary School, LEED Gold
Richter & Cegan integrates a strong environmental ethic into every project, with a long-standing commitment to sustainable design. Our approach emphasizes early planning, thoughtful siting, and the use of materials that enhance on-site natural resources — improving water quality, reducing habitat loss, and minimizing energy use and climate impact.
We are members of the U.S. Green Building Council, with LEED and SITES accredited professionals on staff. Ongoing training and accreditation are encouraged across our team. Many of our projects pursue LEED certification, and we collaborate with clients to align sustainability goals with project priorities.
Our mission is to create sustainable landscapes through sensitive planning and creative design — balancing client needs with environmental stewardship.
