Rachel E. Meier, PLA, ASLA, CLARB

Rachel is a registered landscape architect in Connecticut with over 6 years of experience in landscape architecture and land planning. At Richter & Cegan, she uses her professional and personal experiences to deliver a design approach that balances creativity and practicality with the needs of the client. In addition to streetscape redevelopment and master planning projects, her professional resume spans a wide variety of public facility and private residential work in and around Connecticut.

Rachel received a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture, Summa Cum Laude, with a minor in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) from Thomas Jefferson University (formerly Philadelphia University) in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

In addition to her professional work, Rachel actively serves on the Executive Committee of the Connecticut Chapter of the American Society of Landscape Architects and received the 2023 George A. Yarwood Award for her term as President and other commitments within the Chapter. She also volunteers as a Marketing & Communications Team Member with WxLA, a non-profit organization dedicated to providing a voice for women in landscape architecture and improving equality within the profession.

Outside of the office, Rachel trains and competes in powerlifting, and can squat, bench press, and deadlift a total of 855 pounds. While giving her the opportunity to support her competitive nature, it also connects her to a wide community of dedicated athletes, including the annual Special Olympics Connecticut Unified Sports Holiday Classic.
