Master Plan to transform the historic campus into a senior living center and public waterfront park, featuring restored historic buildings, new cottages, and preserved shoreline access.

The Village at Seaside Master Plan envisioned the re-use and renovation of the historic Seaside Regional Center on Long Island Sound as an age-restricted housing community and public waterfront park. Originally designed in 1934 by the architect Cass Gilbert, Seaside is listed on the State and National Register of Historic Places. The master plan included the restoration and preservation of some of the historically significant buildings, new residential cottages, and community amenities including a clubhouse and pool. A public park was designed to preserve public shoreline access along Long Island Sound with promenades, overlooks, seaside meadows and walking trails.
