William R. Weckman, PLA, ASLA
Senior Associate

Bill plays a key role in overseeing the design and implementation of a wide range of projects in the firm, including residential, commercial, and educational projects. A registered landscape architect in Connecticut with over 18 years of professional experience, he brings practical insight and creative vision to every phase of project development. Focused on detailed execution and strong project management, he specializes in meeting complex program requirements while respecting the unique character of each site.

Bill's residential work spans diverse landscapes — from lakefronts and watercourse edges to agricultural farmsteads and dramatic viewsheds — each designed to harmonize with its environment. He approaches commercial and educational work with the same core value: to seamlessly integrate program and site.

A strong advocate for collaboration, Bill works closely with architects, engineers, and consultants to ensure designs are both functional and creative, while providing a successful client experience.

Bill earned a Bachelor of Science in Landscape Architecture (BSLA) magna cum laude from the University of Connecticut and remains involved with the program as a volunteer juror, accreditation committee participant, and part-time adjunct professor teaching design software and digital workflows. An active member of the Connecticut Chapter of the American Society of Landscape Architects (CTASLA), Bill stays engaged with ongoing professional development and industry dialogue.

Outside the studio and job sites, Bill enjoys spending time with his family and staying involved in his community by being a member of his sons’ PTO, coaching little league baseball, planning group camping trips, and setting up local school fundraisers such as mud run obstacle courses, haunted forests for Halloween, and school fairs.
